Acoustica's offerings lack many of the frills in more sophisticated audio-editing programs, such as Sonic Foundry's Vegas Audio or Bias Peak for the Mac, but, for simple tasks, we found the Mixer and MP3 converter programs adequate and rock solid. (Currently, the utilities don't come bundled as a pair, but we recommend both, and Acoustica plans to release them as a bundle in the near future.) What you will find are two solid audio programs one that does basic mixing of stereo files (both WAV and MP3 files), and a program that quickly and easily converts WAV files to MP3 files. ![]() These cheap, Windows-only programs are bare-bones utilities you won't find complex features or slick graphics.
